Getting Started
Learn the basics and set up your account
To create an event type, go to your Dashboard and click "New Event Type." Choose a name (e.g., "30-Minute Meeting"), set the duration, and configure your availability. Once saved, your event type will appear on your public booking page and is ready to be shared.
Navigate to Settings > Availability to define when you are bookable. Set your regular weekly hours, then add date-specific overrides for holidays or days off. Your availability is checked in real-time against your connected calendars so you never get double-booked.
From Settings > Booking Page you can update your display name, profile photo, bio, and brand color. You can also choose which event types are visible and reorder them. Your public booking page is available at gettalk.co/your-username.
Your booking link is gettalk.co/your-username. Share it via email, add it to your email signature, or embed it on your website. For specific event types, use the direct link from your Dashboard (e.g., gettalk.co/your-username/30min).
Buffer times add padding before or after meetings so you have time to prepare or take a break. Edit any event type and expand "Advanced settings" to configure buffer times. You can set a buffer before the event, after the event, or both.
Calendar Sync
Connect and manage your calendars
Go to Settings > Integrations and click "Connect" next to Google Calendar. Sign in with your Google account and grant the required permissions. Once connected, GetTalk will check your Google Calendar for conflicts and automatically add new bookings to it.
Go to Settings > Integrations and click "Connect" next to Outlook / Microsoft 365. Authenticate with your Microsoft account. GetTalk will sync with your Outlook calendar to prevent double bookings and will create calendar events for new meetings.
If you have several calendars (work, personal, etc.), go to Settings > Integrations > Calendar Settings. Choose which calendars to check for conflicts and which calendar new bookings should be added to. All selected calendars are checked before showing available slots.
If your calendar is not syncing, try disconnecting and reconnecting the integration from Settings > Integrations. Make sure you have granted all required permissions. If events are missing, check that the correct calendar is selected for conflict checking. Changes can take a few minutes to propagate.
Video Conferencing
Set up automatic meeting links
Connect your Zoom account from Settings > Integrations. Once connected, edit any event type and set the location to "Zoom." A unique Zoom meeting link will be generated automatically for each booking and included in the confirmation email.
If you have Google Calendar connected, you can select "Google Meet" as the meeting location for any event type. A Google Meet link is created automatically when someone books and is added to the calendar event for both parties.
Connect your Microsoft 365 account from Settings > Integrations. Then set any event type location to "Microsoft Teams." A Teams meeting link will be generated for each booking and included in calendar invites and confirmation emails.
You can set any text as a meeting location -- a physical address, a phone number, or a custom video link. Edit the event type, choose "Custom" as the location, and enter your details. You can also let the booker choose from multiple location options.
Team Features
Collaborate with your team
From Settings > Team, click "Invite Member" and enter their email address. They will receive an invitation to join your team. You can assign roles (Admin or Member) to control what each person can manage.
Round-robin event types distribute bookings evenly across team members. Create a new event type, select "Round Robin" as the scheduling type, and add the team members who should participate. GetTalk balances bookings based on availability and recent booking count.
Collective event types require all selected team members to be available. This is ideal for interviews or group calls. Create a new event type, choose "Collective," and add the required attendees. Only times when everyone is free will be shown.
Each team member sets their own availability from their personal settings. For team event types, GetTalk combines individual availabilities to find suitable slots. Admins can view and adjust team members' schedules from the Team settings page.
Billing & Plans
Manage your subscription
Go to Settings > Billing and click "Upgrade to Pro." Choose monthly or annual billing (save 17% with annual). Enter your payment details and confirm. Pro features are activated immediately, including unlimited event types, team features, and integrations.
From Settings > Billing, click "Manage Payment Methods" to add, update, or remove a credit card. Your default payment method is used for all future charges. You can update it at any time without affecting your current subscription.
Free accounts include up to three event types and basic calendar sync. Pro accounts unlock unlimited event types, team scheduling, multiple calendar connections, and custom branding. Visit the Pricing page for a full comparison of plan features.
You can cancel anytime from Settings > Billing by clicking "Cancel Subscription." You will retain access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account reverts to the Free plan. No data is deleted when you downgrade.
Account Settings
Configure your preferences
Go to Settings > Account and click "Change Email." Enter your new email address and confirm with your password. A verification link will be sent to the new address. Your email is updated once you click the verification link.
From Settings > Profile, you can update your display name, username, profile photo, bio, and timezone. Your username determines your public booking URL (gettalk.co/your-username). Changes are reflected on your booking page immediately.
Manage your notifications from Settings > Notifications. Choose which emails to receive: booking confirmations, reminders, cancellations, and daily digests. You can also configure reminder timing (e.g., 15 minutes or 1 hour before a meeting).
To delete your account, go to Settings > Account and click "Delete Account" at the bottom of the page. This action is permanent and will remove all your data, event types, and bookings. You will be asked to confirm before deletion proceeds.
