Getting Started
Get up and running with GetTalk in just a few minutes. This guide covers everything you need to start accepting bookings.
Quick Start
Create your account
Sign up for free with your email or Google account. No credit card required.
Set up your availability
Define when you're available for meetings. Go to Dashboard → Availability to configure your working hours.
Create an event type
Create your first event type (e.g., "30 Minute Meeting") in Dashboard → Event Types.
Share your booking link
Your booking page is live at gettalk.co/your-username. Share it with anyone who needs to book time with you.
Account Setup
After signing up, complete these steps to personalize your account:
Profile Information
Go to Dashboard → Settings to update:
- Your display name and bio
- Profile photo
- Username (this determines your booking URL)
- Timezone
Connect Your Calendar
Connect Google Calendar or Outlook to automatically:
- Block times when you're busy
- Add new bookings to your calendar
- Prevent double-booking
Set this up in Dashboard → Integrations.
Video Conferencing
Connect Google Meet or Zoom to automatically generate meeting links for video calls. Your attendees will receive the meeting link in their confirmation email.
Setting Your Availability
Your availability determines when people can book meetings with you.
Working Hours
Set your regular working hours for each day of the week. For example, Monday-Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. You can set different hours for each day or mark days as unavailable.
Date Overrides
Override your availability for specific dates. This is useful for:
- Holidays and time off
- Days with special availability
- Blocking specific dates
Buffer Time
Add buffer time before and after meetings to give yourself breaks between calls. Configure this per event type in Event Type settings.
Creating Event Types
Event types are the different kinds of meetings you offer. Common examples include:
- 15 Minute Quick Call
- 30 Minute Meeting
- 60 Minute Consultation
- Discovery Call
Event Type Settings
For each event type, you can configure:
- Name & Description: What appears on your booking page
- Duration: How long the meeting lasts (15, 30, 45, 60 minutes, etc.)
- Meeting Type: Video call, phone call, or in-person
- Buffer Time: Time before/after for preparation
- Minimum Notice: How far in advance bookings can be made
- Scheduling Window: How far into the future to allow bookings
Booking Questions
Add custom questions to collect information from attendees when they book. This can include company name, topics to discuss, or any other relevant details.

Once set up, share your booking link with anyone who needs to schedule time with you.
